About Our Mission

There are many great organizations in our communities who provide help with food, clothing, and other "outer" physical needs. Once their physical needs are met by these other organizations, we provide opportunities for them to address the "inner" needs such as developing community connections, growing spiritually, strengthening life management skills, and gaining job-related skill sets.  With these as a foundation, she can build a safety net to enable resiliency.

Our Mission: Equipping women to lay a foundation on which she can build a future of flourishing in God's purpose for her, in life and work.

 â€‹                                           â€‹

Our Purpose: Serve as an on ramp for unemployed or underemployed women to advance in their readiness for livable wage jobs. Provide spiritual and emotional support, as well as educational and training resources to enable her to fill in gaps where she lacks foundational skills and knowledge, so that she can be prepared to succeed in workforce training and subsequent employment.

Our WHY

Collin County already has many resources and services for those in need and we do not intend to duplicate services. Our purpose is to supplement what other agencies are providing by offering support in ways that are especially suited to faith-based programs.

We are a ministry that builds on a foundation of mentoring relationships, with the goals of spiritual development, strengthening life management skills, and acquiring job-related skill sets.

We serve to be the crossroads where Christian women who seek avenues to live out Christ's love intersects with women who seek connection and guidance.

We are all volunteers, coming from a variety of churches and Christian denominations, united in our desire to be the hands and feet of Christ.

Please reach out whether you are interested in volunteering or being a program participant.

Organizational Background

SET To Flourish (STF) was established in May 2025 to serve Collin County, registered  as a Christian Women's Job Corps site.  CWJC is part of a national compassion ministry organization, started in 1997 to equip women for life and employment.

While we use the CWJC model for services, our nonprofit operates as a program under the fiscal sponsorship of Women's Nonprofit Alliance, an official 501(c)(3) tax-exempt, nonprofit parent organization, and our leadership adheres to their Statement of Faith. As an Alliance Partner of Women's NPA, we are able to accept tax-deductible donations.

Through our partnership with the Women's NPA, we have been accredited by the Evangelical Council for Financial Accountability (ECFA) which provides accreditation to leading Christian nonprofit organizations that faithfully demonstrate compliance with established standards for financial accountability, transparency, fundraising and board governance, as well as GuideStar Gold Seal of Transparency for our financial oversight.
