Dual Tracks
Since there are some activities that are most effectively done on an individual basis, and other activities that are best done in group settings, we offer our program as a dual track so that participants spend time one-on-one with staff during the week, as well as having time to interact as a group on designated Sunday afternoons.
Each participant will set a schedule with mentors and other staff to meet during the week, to do activities on a personalized basis such as creating a budget, writing resumes, developing career pathways and action plans.
Group workshops are conducted on two Sunday afternoons per month, for topics such as workplace communications, parenting, customer service, understanding credit, etc. - topics which are beneficial to discuss in groups.
We are all both learners and teachers. In our Learning Circles, women come together in community and informally teach and learn from each other... whether it is how to work a computer program, or how to effectively answer a particular job interview question, or how to interact with people from different cultures.
